Alessio Signorini
Generally interested in Artificial Intelligence, Linear and Heuristic Optimization, Cryptography, Semantic Analysis, Classification, Ranking and Web Search.
I am currently doing research with Alberto Maria Segre on Social Web Information Monitoring for Health as part of the Computational Epidemiology Group. My researches are focused on using social data (e.g., tweets) available on the Internet to estimate and predict how flu-like illnesses spread.
In the past few years I worked as Director Technology for the search engine Ask.com and the realtime search engineOneRiot. More recently I co-founded Immersive Labs which was accepted in the prestigious TechStars NYC program. Immersive Labs uses computer vision and artificial intelligence to make advertising on digital billboard targeted, measurable and more interactive.
